SUPERCARB™ (2"x10") FILTER FEATURES:
The Doulton Ultra-Carb is a three stage cartridge combining the highly efficient
properties of ceramic with the enhanced water treatment properties of activated
carbon.
First Stage: The first stage consists of DOULTON SUPER-CARB ceramic
which is manufactured to provide genuine sub-micron filtration. The cartridge
reduces fine particulate matter, bacteria, cysts and turbidity.
Second Stage: The incorporation of silver locked within the ceramic structure
inhibits the growth of bacteria and gives enhanced bacteriostatic and self sterilizing
properties.
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FITTING THE CARTRIDGE
- Please ensure that the screw-thread housing is clear of dirt & debris.
- Please make sure that you push the the cartridge in far enough, ie, it has
to go beyond the 1st grommet / rubber o-ring before you can start to screw
it into the housing.
- Please ensure that the bottom rubber grommet / o-ring is snug to the screw-thread
housing to prevent water leakage & to ensure that the cartridge will fit the
housing.
- Replace the Housing.
- Follow the rest of the instructions that came with your Water Filtering
Mixertap.

Doulton® Water Filter Replacement Ceramic Candles & Cartridges
True Absolute Sub Micron Ceramic Water Purification
All Doulton ceramic candles and cartridges are bacteriostatic
- that is, self sterilizing for bacteriologically safe cleaning and handling.
In addition, a variety of dedicated fittings are placed inside
the bore of the element to remove chlorine, bad taste and odor, pesticides,
herbicides, industrial solvents and heavy metals.
This ceramic candle combination provides: 100% rejection of cysts and >99.99%
of pathogenic bacteria: Depth filtration of particulates >0.2 micron (dirt,
asbestos, iron etc).
With it's exclusive all 100% natural multi stage purification technology, Doulton
turns even heavily polluted waters into safe and wholesome drinking water without
the use of harsh or distasteful chemicals.
Doulton® ceramic filter elements utilize the natural properties of high
purity specialized diatomaceous earths to provide a range of strictly controlled
pore sizes giving maximum filtration efficiency together with high porosity
for maximum flow. Doulton® ceramic filter elements can be quickly and easily
cleaned many times to prolong their working life.
CONSTRUCTION
The filter elements are produced using the latest ceramic techniques to provide
a hollow porous ceramic which is fired at a temperature in excess of 1000C.
They are designed to operate with water flow going from the outside to the inside
of the element. A variety of dedicated fillings can be placed inside the bore
of the element to combat specific water contamination problems. For more details

SIZES All the regular elements are produced in two
inch (49 mm) nominal diameter. Standard lengths are five inch (13 cm), seven
inch (I 8 cm), and ten inch (25 cm). Other lengths are available to meet special
customer requirements. For mounting purposes all candle elements are traditionally
supplied with a food grade plastic mount which terminates in a 1/4 inch BSP
male thread. There are two standard length mounts; the long mount is 1-5/8 inch
(41 mm) long used for gravity filters, the short mount is 3/4 inch (19 mm) long
used for pressure and some gravity water filters. Alternative mounts/thread
lengths can be custom built.
